Festival of Education in Jaipur on 5th, 6th August 2017

Jaipur is all set to host India’s first ever Festival of Education on 5th and 6th August 2017. On 19th December last year, Chief Minister, Vasundhara Raje, had announced this event in New Delhi. To be organized in collaboration with GEMS Education – World’s largest K-12 School Education Provider, this festival shall be held at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convocation Center and shall serve as a launch pad for positioning Rajasthan as the intellectual capital of India. “Empower our younger generation by equipping them with skill and education in order to make them global citizens” is what Chief Minister Raje had said in the curtain raiser event. This festival would travel in its future editions to other cities of the state and this conclave would be a platform that shall see participation by some of the world’s leading educationists and experts who shall discuss the future of education and transformation of the nation through innovation and knowledge exchange. This event shall open up a world of possibilities for ONE YOUNG RAJASTHAN.
Amreesh A. Chandra, Group President, GEMS Education India said, “This event would be a convergence of global leaders who would deliberate and deliver potentially actionable points to transform education in the state. The primary aim is to visualize and showcase the futuristic scenario of education in India”. A CSR initiative by GEMS Education, this festival would see a convergence of ideas from Innovators, Vice Chancellors, Principals, Teachers, Social Strategists, Scientists, Policy Makers, Leaders, Parents, Students and the Media. The event would be broadly divided into three different zones – fundamental, elemental and experimental. Discussions would revolve around education for girls, positive schooling, role of education in world peace and many other topics that are contemporary and thought provoking. The festival would also have a number of cultural activities by students as well as by professional artists. 

दीनदयाल उपाध्याय वरिष्ठ नागरिक तीर्थयात्रा योजना के लिए आॅनलाइन आवेदन शुरू

दीनदयाल उपाध्याय वरिष्ठ नागरिक तीर्थ यात्रा योजनान्तर्गत देवस्थान विभाग की ओर से इस बार 10 स्थानों पर हवाई यात्रा एवं 13 स्थानों पर रेल यात्रा के लिए 31 जुलाई, 2017 तक आॅनलाइन आवेदन आमंत्रित किए गए हैं। देवस्थान आयुक्त श्री जितेन्द्र उपाध्याय ने बताया कि तीर्थयात्रा के लिए राजस्थान के मूल निवासी जो आयकरदाता नहीं हैं, तथा पूर्व में जिन्होंने इस योजना का लाभ नहीं उठाया है, आवेदन के पात्र होंगे। आवेदक का शारीरिक एवं मानसिक तौर पर स्वस्थ होना अनिवार्य है। इसमें सरकार या स्थानीय निकाय से सेवानिवृत कर्मचारी, अधिकारी व उनके जीवन साथी यात्रा के पात्र नहीं होंगे। एक जुलाई 2017 को 60 वर्ष या अधिक आयु के व्यक्ति रेल यात्रा हेतु एवं 65 वर्ष एवं अधिक आयु के व्यक्ति हवाई जहाज से यात्रा के पात्र होंगे।  रेल यात्रा में 15 हजार यात्रियों को लाभ मिल सकेगा जिनमें 70 वर्ष से अधिक आयु वर्ग के वृद्धजन के साथ सहयोगी को यात्रा का लाभ दिया जायेगा। लेकिन पति-पत्नी के साथ यात्रा करने पर सहयोगी की अनुमति नहीं होगी। यात्रा में वरिष्ठजन सहायकों में रेल यात्रा हेतु पुरुष सहायक 21 से 45 वर्ष के मध्य तथा महिला सहायक 30 से 45 वर्ष के मध्य आयु का होना चाहिए। आवेदन के वक्त ही वरिष्ठ नागरिक को अपने साथ जीवन साथी अथवा सहायक होने की सूचना देनी आवश्यक होगी। 
आवेदन की प्रक्रिया : अतिरिक्त आयुक्त श्री अशोक कुमार ने बताया कि वरिष्ठ नागरिक तीर्थ यात्रा योजनान्तर्गत केवल आॅनलाइन आवेदन ही स्वीकार्य होंगे। आवेदन वेबसाइट http://devasthan.rajasthan.gov.in/Schemes.asp से प्राप्त किये जा सकते हैं। आवेदक व सहायक दोनों के पास भामाशाह अथवा आधार कार्ड होना जरूरी होगा। आवेदन में अपनी पसंद के तीन तीर्थ स्थल वरीयता क्रम में अंकित करने होंगे। आवेदन से पूर्व आवेदक को भामाशाह कार्ड पंजीयन की प्रक्रिया पूरी कर लेनी होगी जिससे फोटो व दस्तावेज अपलोड व अन्य विवरण की आवश्यकता नहीं होगी।
रेल यात्रा के लिए तीर्थ स्थल: वरिष्ठ नागरिक तीर्थ यात्रा योजनान्तर्गत रेल द्वारा यात्रा के लिए वैष्णोदेवी, अमृतसर, गया-बोधगया- काशी-सारनाथ, सम्मेदशिखर, बिहार शरीफ-नालन्दा-राजगीर, जगन्नाथपुरी, द्वारकापुरी, शिरडी, गोवा, तिरूपति, रामेश्वरम, पटना साहिब तथा श्रवण बेलगोला तीर्थ स्थल शामिल किये गए हैं। राजस्थान में रेल यात्रा के लिए जयपुर, जोधपुर, उदयपुर, कोटा, भरतपुर, बीकानेर तथा अजमेर से यात्री प्रस्थान करेंगे। 
हवाई जहाज से यात्रा स्थल: हवाई जहाज से तीर्थ यात्रा के लिए रामेश्वरम्, जगन्नाथपुरी, तिरूपति, वाराणसी (काशी)-सारनाथ, बिहार शरीफ-नालन्दा-राजगीर, शिरडी, अमृतसर, सम्मेद शिखर व पटना साहिब तीर्थ स्थलों का चयन किया गया है। इन स्थलों के निकटतम एयरपोर्ट के पश्चात् शेष यात्रा बस द्वारा करनी होगी। राजस्थान में हवाई तीर्थ यात्रा के चयनित यात्री जयपुर, जोधपुर व उदयपुर से हवाई जहाज से प्रस्थान करेंगे।

BJP govt insensitive towards farmers: Sachin Pilot

Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot Wednesday accused the BJP-ruled states of being “insensitive” towards farmers and suppressing their voice. “In the last few days, farmers demanded relief from the governments in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. But, instead of paying heed to their demands, they killed them with bullets,” he said in a statement. Accusing the BJP governments in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh were neglecting the farmers’ issues, Pilot said about 60 farmers in Rajasthan have committed suicide due to the lack of government support or crop damage.
Meanwhile in recent development Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi climbed on a bike today as his convoy was stopped near Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur, where farmer protests have escalated over the death of five in police firing on Tuesday. Mr Gandhi first flew down to Udaipur in adjoining Rajasthan and drove from there. At a spot where heavy police presence was seen, the Congress leader was seen jumping onto a bike to try and reach Mandsaur. A crowd of Congress workers, journalists and policemen could be seen chasing the bike for some distance. Sachin Pilot, the Rajasthan Congress chief, also drove off in another bike.

Congress Leader CP Joshi elected RCA President

Congress leader C.P. Joshi was elected president of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) on Friday. He defeated Lalit Modi's son Ruchir. Securing 19 votes, Joshi defeated Ruchir Modi, who had secured 14 votes only. The RCA 2017 elections were held on 19th May 2017.  Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday granted permission for the counting of votes on June 2.
The 2017 election was an intense contest between RCA president Lalit Modi’s son Ruchir Modi and senior Congress leader CP Joshi, who has also been a former RCA president. Earlier this month, the Rajasthan High Court had intervened on a petition of Bhilwara District Association’s Ramlal Sharma and directed the RCA to hold elections this month, setting aside the observer’s order which had called off the elections last month. According to reports, the polling for the six posts as per the Lodha Committee recommendations was short as there are only 33 district cricket associations, who have the voting right in accord with the Sports Act prevailing in the state.

More than 5,12,382 candidates had applied for the examination but approximately 4,78,818 appeared for the exam official statement by The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kailash Saudani of BSTC.

Rajasthan PTET Result 2017

PTET Exam Result 2017: Rajasthan Pre Teacher Eligibility Test (PTET) 2017 has been declared today, on June 1, by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswathi University, Rajasthan at 1 pm. The examination was conducted on May 14 for admission to BEd colleges in the State from 2 pm to 5 pm in a single session. Nearly 2.8 lakh candidates appeared for the same. All those candidates who had appeared for the same are required to check their respective results from the official website www.ptet2017.com
