GRAM 2017 in Udaipur from 7 to 9 November 2017

Rajasthan State Cabinet in its meeting on 4th October took various important decisions including organization of GRAM 2017 in Udaipur from November 7 to 9, organising campaign to provide lease in rural areas, generating new posts of ECG Technician and Boiler Attendant. The cabinet also reviewed the works done in second phase of MJSA and workplan for the third phase of MJSA. The Cabinet Meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje.  Briefing the media after the cabinet meeting Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Rajendra Rathore informed that after successful organization of GRAM in Jaipur and Kota (24-26 May 2017) the third GRAM will be held at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, Udaipur where 30 thousand farmers will learn the innovations made in Agriculture sector. Shri Rathore said the Cabinet also gave approval to the proposal related to start campaign to provide lease for houses built on the government land in rural areas. 

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister informed that six Bills shall be presented in the coming session of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. The Rajasthan State Electricity Distribution Management Responsibility Bill-2017, The Rajasthan Land Revenue Amendment and Validation (Repeal) Bill-2017, The Rajasthan Relief Undertakings (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Bill-2017, The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Members (Prevention of Disqualification) Bill-2017, The Code of Criminal Procedure (Rajasthan Amendment) Bill-2017 and The Criminal Laws (Rajasthan Amendment) Bill-2017 shall be presented in the coming Assembly session.

VASTRA 2017 inaugurated in Jaipur

Jaipur, 21 September: Textile industry in the country is growing exponentially with the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) having tripled in 3 years. It has touched the figure of USD 618.95 million in 2016-17. However, there is still a huge potential for further growth in the sector for which multifarious efforts are being made by the Centre as well as different States. This was stated by the Chief Guest, Union Textiles & Information and Broadcasting Minister, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani today. She was speaking at the Inaugural Ceremony of the 6th Edition of the 4-day International Textile and Apparel Fair, ‘Vastra’ at the Sitapura based Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) in Jaipur.  

‘Vastra 2017’ has been jointly organised by Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation Ltd. (RIICO) and Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), VASTRA has created a niche for itself in textiles and apparel industry since its inception in 2012. The event is also supported by the Government of Rajasthan.

The Union Minister further stated that the textile sector employs the 2nd largest workforce in the industry with 45 million Indians directly and 20 million Indians being indirectly employed. However, concerted efforts are being made for creating further avenues by living up to the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Make in India’. The Government is providing skilling opportunities as well as incentives to give an impetus to the industry. The financial support to the weavers under the ‘Mudra Yojna’ has documented evidence of increase in income of the weaver to the tune of 50-60%. Ms. Irani appreciated the efforts of the State Government in making Rajasthan a garment hub. She said that the Jaipur Designers Festival which is being held in the ‘Vastra’ for the first time will go a long way in providing an opportunity to the younger generation by providing them an exposure to the world of fashion and designing. She also appreciated that a  ‘Sari Draping Workshop’ is being organized during Vastra. The audience of the workshop will get an opportunity to revisit ethnic Indian women clothing through this workshop.

Festival of Education in Jaipur on 5th, 6th August 2017

Jaipur is all set to host India’s first ever Festival of Education on 5th and 6th August 2017. On 19th December last year, Chief Minister, Vasundhara Raje, had announced this event in New Delhi. To be organized in collaboration with GEMS Education – World’s largest K-12 School Education Provider, this festival shall be held at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convocation Center and shall serve as a launch pad for positioning Rajasthan as the intellectual capital of India. “Empower our younger generation by equipping them with skill and education in order to make them global citizens” is what Chief Minister Raje had said in the curtain raiser event. This festival would travel in its future editions to other cities of the state and this conclave would be a platform that shall see participation by some of the world’s leading educationists and experts who shall discuss the future of education and transformation of the nation through innovation and knowledge exchange. This event shall open up a world of possibilities for ONE YOUNG RAJASTHAN.

Amreesh A. Chandra, Group President, GEMS Education India said, “This event would be a convergence of global leaders who would deliberate and deliver potentially actionable points to transform education in the state. The primary aim is to visualize and showcase the futuristic scenario of education in India”. 27 मार्च ’राजस्थान फेस्टिवल’ का भव्य उद्घाटन

बेणेश्वर धाम में शुरू हुआ 10 दिवसीय मेला

जनजाति क्षेत्रीय विकास मंत्री श्री नंदलाल मीणा ने 7 फ़रवरी को डूंगरपुर जिले में बेणेश्वर मेले का उद्घाटन किया। राजस्थान के दक्षिणांचल में माही, सोम और जाखम नदियों से घिरा बेणेश्वर लोक आस्थाओं का वह महातीर्थ है जहां हर साल माघी एकादशी से दस दिन का विराट मेला लगता है। वागड प्रयाग कहे जाने वाले संत मावजी महाराज के पवित्र धाम तथा त्रिवेणी संगम के मुहाने पर स्थित बेणेश्वर धाम में राजस्थान, मध्यप्रदेश और गुजरात सहित देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों से श्रद्धालु हिस्सा लेते हैं और वागड़ अंचल के मेलार्थियों सहित पांच लाख से ज्यादा मेलार्थी एकत्रित होने की संभावना है। इसमें कई लाख लोगों के आने के कारण इसे इस अंचल के कुंभ की ही तरह मान्यता प्राप्त है। मेले का समापन 15 फरवरी को होगा।

• वेणेश्वर मेला, राजस्थान के डुंगरपुर जिले का प्रसिद्ध मेला है, जिसमें राजस्थान, मध्यप्रदेश और गुजरात के आदिवासी बड़ी संख्या में भाग लेते हैं। 
• यह मेला माघ शुक्ल पूर्णिमा के अवसर पर भील, सोम व माही नदियों के पवित्र संगम पर वेणेश्वर नामक स्थान पर लगता है जो डुंगरपुर से 65 किमी की दूरी पर स्थित है।
• संगम पर डुबकी लगाने के पश्चात भगवान शिव के दर्शन के लिए बेणेश्वर मंदिर जाने को हर कोई बेताब रहता है। 
• बेणेश्वर मंदिर के परिसर में लगने वाला यह मेला भगवान शिव को समर्पित होता है। 
• संगम पर बने इस मंदिर के निकट भगवान विष्णु का भी मंदिर है, जिसके बारे में मान्यता है कि जब भगवान विष्णु के अवतार माव जी ने यहां तपस्या की थी, यह मंदिर उसी समय बना था।

Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, on Wednesday offered a 'chadar' at the dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, Ajmer Sharif, on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Camel Festival 2015 in Bikaner on 4, 5th January

Camel Festival 2015 is all set to begins from 4th January to 5th January 2015 in Bikaner city of western Rajasthan. A lively and colorful event, the Camel Festival is organized by the Department of Tourism, Art and Culture, in Bikaner every year. January is just the right month for a desert spree, and Bikaner just the right place to see the ships of the desert. Hariyali Teej  or Sawan Teej or Teej Festival 2014 is celebrated in Jaipur on 30-31st July 2014. Hariyali Teej is a festival celebrated in the north Indian states of India mainly Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. This festival is celebrated on the third day of Shukla paksha in the Shravan month. It is also known as Madhusrava tritiya and Choti Teej.  Hariyali Teej is also known as Chhoti Teej and Shravana Teej. Kajari Teej which comes fifteen days after Hariyali Teej is known as Badi Teej.
Hariyali Teej History: According to legend Goddess Parvathi was reborn and did several years of stringent fasting to prove her dedication to Lord Shiva. After hundred years of strict fasting and austerity lord Shiva accepted her as his wife. It is said that whosoever invokes and worship Gowri known as teej mata on this day, will get divine blessings of Mother.  Married women and young girls celebrate the festival with great zeal and earnest devotion. On this day married women return to their parents’ home and receive gifts from their in laws which is called "Shinjhara’ which includes clothes, ornaments, beauty products, mehndi, sweets etc. Both married and unmarried women dress up in traditional green attires and wear ornaments and green bangles made of glass. Is also a common custom to apply mehandi or Alta on the hands and feet. Women and unmarried girls keep fast for long and healthy life of their husband.
