सांवरलाल जाट - किसान परिवारों ने अपना बेटा खो दिया

प्रो सांवरलाल जाट असल मायने में गुदड़ी के लाल थे। राजस्थान के एक साधारण किसान परिवार में जन्में सांवरलाल ग्रामीणों, गरीबों एवं किसानों के सच्चे मसीहा ही नहीं, भारतीय राजनीती में अपने सादे जीवन और जमीन से जुड़े होने के कारण एक श्रेष्ठ मिसाल थे। सांवरलाल जाट एक बहुत साफ़गो इंसान थे, एक किसान और ज़मीन से जुड़े नेता। उन्हें बेईमान राजनेताओं जैसी धूर्त हसीं एवं बेईमानी भरी चालाक भाषा नहीं आती थी। प्रोफेसर सांवरलाल जाट ने जीवन की शुरुआत बतौर कॉलेज व्याख्याता के रूप में की। मौजूदा फ़ेसबुक, ट्विटर, सूट-बूट एवं लेनिन के कड़क सफ़ेदी लिए महंगे वस्त्रों  वाले नेताओं के बीच बिना किसी सूट-बूट या डिज़ाइनर राजस्थानी वर्दी के सांवरलाल जाट ठेठ राजस्थानी ग्रामीण धोती साफे में रहने वाले गुदड़ी के लाल सही मायनों में आजीवन एक आम किसान ही थे। वे विश्वविद्यालय के प्रोफेसर थे, लेकिन एक किसान की तरह जिए और ऐसे ही राजनीति की। वे कभी चबा-चबाकर नहीं बोले एवं यही उनके जीने की शैली रही।

सांवरलाल जाट का राजनीतिक सफर

साँवरलाल जाट का जन्म 1 जनवरी 1955 को राजस्थान के अजमेर जिले के गोपालपुरा गाँव में हुआ था। उन्होंने वाणिज्य में स्नातकोत्तर करने के बाद राजस्थान विश्वविद्यालय में शिक्षक का कार्य भी किया था। वे सोहलवीं लोकसभा में अजमेर लोकसभा संसदीय क्षेत्र से भाजपा के सांसद थे। 20 दिसम्बर 2013 को उन्होंने राजस्थान के केन्द्रिय मंत्री की शपथ ग्रहण की। सांवर लाल का निधन 9 अगस्त 2017 को राजधानी दिल्ली में एक अस्पताल में हो गया। जब सांवरलाल जाट केंद्र में चमचमाते मोदी सरकार के मंत्रिमंडल से हटाए और वसुन्धरा सरकार ने उन्हें राजस्थान किसान आयोग का अध्यक्ष बनाया, तब उन्होने किसान आयोग को असल में किसानों की जगह बनाई अन्यथा यह केवल सरकारी बाबुओं का एक किसान प्रवेश निषेध कार्यालय ही बनकर रह गया था। सांवरलाल जाट के नवीन राजस्थान किसान आयोग दफ्तर की फिजा ही अलग थी यहाँ आप साफा पहने हुए किसान भी आसानी से देख सकते थे जिनमें हर कौम के किसान थे। अब शायद राजस्थान किसान आयोग फिर से ग्रामीण किसानों की पहुँच से दूर हो जाये तो कोई नई बात नहीं होगी।

किसान परिवारों ने अपना बेटा खो दिया

राजस्थान के किसान परिवारों ने निश्चित ही सांवरलाल जाट के रूप में अपना एक बेटा खो दिया। पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री, राजस्थान किसान आयोग के अध्यक्ष व सांसद श्री सावंरलाल जाट के निधन के साथ ही राजस्थान के किसानों की एक आवाज सदा के लिए बंद हो गयी। अगर सावंरलाल जी जाट के परिवार जनों के बाद आज सबसे अधिक क्षुब्ध है तो वो हैं, राजस्थान के ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के किसान जिनका सरकार के साथ एक संवाद पुल ख़त्म हो गया। सावंरलाल जाट दलगत राजनीती से परे सदैव किसानों एवं ग्रामीणों के हितेषी रहे है। सावंरलाल जाट की जयपुर से गोपालपुरा, अजमेर के बीच श्रद्धांजलि सभा में उमड़ा किसानों एवं ग्रामीणों का जनसमूह उनके प्रति अपनेपन एवं प्यार का सबूत है। अजमेर संभाग के ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में 9 अगस्त को अचानक सुबह-सुबह सभी टीवी खोलते नज़र आये हमने में सही जानकारी के लिए टीवी खोला लेकिन वहां बीजेपी-कांग्रेस की गुजरात राज्यसभा के लिए खरीद-फरोख्त खबरें ही सरपट दौड़ रही थी, कुछ समय बाद शायद कोई प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के बाद ब्रेकिंग न्यूज चली लेकिन गावों में किसानों को आधे घंटे पहले ही पता चल गया था कि आज किसान परिवारों ने अपना एक बेटा खो दिया है या यूँ कहें राजस्थान की राजनीति में किसान राजनीति का अंतिम जिम्मेदार योद्धा अब नहीं रहा। 

दलित राजनीती की नई डगर 

एक सबसे बड़ी सीख अगर भाजपा एवं अन्य पार्टियों के नेताओं एवं आलाकमान को सांवरलाल जाट से लेनी हो तो वो है दलित राजनीती, जिसे राजनीतिक पार्टियां केवल नारों एवं जुमलों से साधने का प्रयास कर रही है। सांवरलाल जाट का एक प्रमुख वोट बैंक था दलित समाज जिसके वे बिना किसी नारे के सबसे नज़दीक थे या यों कहे उनके प्रमुख विश्वासपात्र दलित समाज के मित्र एवं कार्यकर्त्ता ही थे। अगर किसी राजनेता को सही मायने में दलित समाज का भला करना है तो वो फोटो-सैशन, जुमलों एवं बाबासाहेब अम्बेडर जी के गुणगान करके नहीं दलित समाज के साथ आत्मीयता के सम्बन्ध बनाने एवं साथ चलने से होता है। वे एक जाट थे एवं 36 कौम के सर्वमान्य नेता थे।  यह हरयाणा बीजेपी के कुछ संकीर्ण मानसिकता के साथ 35 कौम के नारे देने वाले छुटभैये नेताओं के लिए एक सीख भी है। 

राजनेताओं को सीख 

वे एक सज्जन और स्पष्टवादी इनसान थे साथ ही सरल व्यव्हार एवं साफ़गोई से बात रखने वाले राजनेता थे। वे अहम् मुद्दों पर आजकल के शातिर राजनेताओं की तरह धूर्तता से झूठ बोलने, भ्रामक प्रचार एवं सवालों से कन्नी काटकर बचने वाले राजनेताओं की तरह नहीं थे, आप उनसे जब चाहे मिल सकते थे एवं एक सच्चा जवाब पा सकते थे। जाति, धर्म एवं सांप्रदायिक ताकतें सांवरलाल जाट से स्वतः ही खौफ खाते थे, वे सही मायने में सबका साथ, सबका विकास को बिना किस जुमले एवं प्रचार के जीवन में अपनाने वाले व्यक्ति थे। अपने 30 साल से अधिक के राजनीतिक सफर में वे एक सच्चे एवं ईमानदार राजनेता थे, वरना आजकल तो छुटभैये नेता भी सफेदपोश बन अवैध खनन, जमीन हड़पना, कब्जे करना एवं धार्मिक वैर-वैमन्य फैलाना सरीखे कार्यों को राजनीती की पहली सीढ़ी समझते हैं जो निश्चित ही निंदनीय हैं एवं राजनेताओं को जनता से दूर ले जा रही है। आशा करते हैं, इस माटी के लाल सांवरलाल से सभी राजनेता कुछ सबक लेंगें।

What is One Rank, One Pension: One Rank, One Pension (OROP), or same pension, for same rank, not for same length of service, irrespective of the date of retirement which was the basis for determining the pension and benefits of Indian Armed Forces till 1973. In 1973,the Third Central Pay Commission (3 CPC), in an "ex-parte" decision terminated OROP. The termination of OROP caused disquiet in the Armed Forces and has since become a cause of public protests by Armed Forces Veterans. An all party ten member Parliamentary Panel, known as the Koshyari Committee after its Chairman, examined OROP. The Koshyari Committee blamed the delay in implementing OROP on bureaucratic resistance and apathy.". The Koshyari Committee unanimously found merit in OROP, and recommended its early implementation. OROP, an increasingly politicised, and often a misunderstood and misrepresented issue, in the run up to the Indian general election of 2014 , found favour with the INC, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The top leaders of these parties, including Sonia Gandhi of INC, and Narendra Modi of BJP, made repeated public commitments to implement OROP.

Bharat Ratna to Sachin, Why not Major Dhyan chand ?

Bharat Ratna to Sachin Tendulkar is now in news after UPA government announced that he had been given the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award. While there is no denying that Tendulkar is deserving of the award, his being the first sportsperson to receive it has raised eyebrows. Many say Dhyan Chand, India’s hockey legend, would have been a more appropriate choice. But why one of the biggest stars of Indian sports, legendary hockey player Dhyan Chand was ignored after decades of pleas, prayers and requests to the Indian Government by sports lovers? This is the question which most Indians are trying to seek an answer for. 

Dhyan Chand was an Indian field hockey player. He is widely considered to be the greatest hockey player of all time. Chand is most remembered for his goal-scoring feats and for his three Olympic gold medals (1928, 1932, and 1936) in field hockey, during an era where India was dominant in the sport. Known as “The Wizard” for his superb ball control, Chand played his final international match in 1948, having scored more than 400 goals during his international career.

Numerous demands had been made to confer the honour on the hockey legend. Letters were also written, some even signed as many as 81 MPs, including Congress leaders like CP Joshi, Shashi Tharoor, Beni Prasad Verma, Bharat, Sanjay Nirupam and Meenakshi Natrajan. While disappointed at only Tendulkar being awarded the first sports category Bharat Ratna, those supporting Dhyan Chand say he should now be conferred with the award immediately. JD(U) leader Shivanand Tiwari said that hockey legend Dhyan Chand was more deserving of the Bharat Ratna than Sachin Tendulkar because the former played without monetary gains, and he also suggested that the award be scrapped Janata Dal-United's Member of Parliament Shivanand Tiwari on Monday voiced his anger over the government’s decision to give the Bharat Ratna to Sachin Tendulkar. According to Tiwari hockey legend Dhyan Chand was more deserving of the honour. Sachin Tendulkar “I agree that Sachin is a brilliant cricketer, but we have to also understand that it’s the same game that has given him Rs 1000 cr. He has not played for free,” Tiwari told Rediff in recent interview.

Is Narendra Modi Anti-PSU ?

BJP's prime ministerial candidate, Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi attack on Congress on various issues. Addressing the big rally Modi called Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi "shahzada" (prince). These remarks are all about politics but during his speech he also attack UPA Govt. for funding Rs. 30000 in loss making Aviation section specially Air India, the only Public Sector Union (USU) from Govt. of India. "Airline firms in India made losses of Rs.53,000 crore from 2007. Government gave Rs.30,000 crore bailout" said Narendra Modi at a rally in Rohini, Delhi. Indian airlines have lost Rs.53,648.5 crore between 2006-07 and 2012-13. Last year Air India gets an upfront equity infusion of Rs. 6,750 crore under the Turn Around Plan, equity for cash deficit support of Rs. 4,552 crore, and equity for already guaranteed aircraft loan of Rs 18,929 crore till financial year 2021.  

So how it is wrong if Government under to help some PUS under Turn Around Plan (TAP) as Govt. is not meant to user Profit, Dividend from PSU they do have liability towards its Employees if any PSU / Govt. Company fail to make profit.  Central Govt. Owned PSU has played an vital role in development of country in last 65 years in sectors like Telecom, Power Generation, Aviation, Petrochemicals and Gas, Ports, Fertilizers etc. You can't ignore contribution of ONGC in Oil exploration, BSNL in Telecom, NTPC in power generation, Coal India in Coal production and Air India in Aviation sector after independence. Consider another PSU BSNL, which is making loss from last 3 year, but why isn't it wrong policies by Govt. Ministers, 2G Scam is one of example of nexus between Private Companies and Politicians. The the real reason of Los in balance sheet of BSNL is policy to provide services in Rural, Naxal-hit, J&K and North-East reason of India. Now if you want to shutdown PSUs because of Loss then you are definitely Anti-PSU as you forget the period when you enjoy crores of dividend from same PSU and used as path for various govt. schemes implementation.

In Gujarat Government too, used to appoint politicians on the PSUs apart from the non-profit making Boards and corporations. It was found that most of the politicians appointed on PSUs were either non-matriculate or without any administrative experience of running a business enterprise. Though these PSUs were started with a noble cause, it soon came under the eclipse of political parties. There are over a dozen PSUs of which six — GNFC, GMDC, GFSC, GIPCL, GACL, GSPL — are listed companies of the Gujarat government on bourses and a few of them have been among the top tax payers from the state. Earlier in 2008, Gujarat PSUs were directed by the government to shell out 30 per cent of their profit before tax (PBT) as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The contribution was for Gujarat Socio Economic Development Society, a body formed to utilise the PSU funds towards social development. The move had triggered an uproar as shareholders of the listed PSUs had opposed it, alleging that their profit share was not meant for "charity". 

Now Narendra Modi is playing dual standard in Center and State PSU, on one side he oppose fund given to Air India by UPA under Turn Around Plan (TAP) while in state he want to use Profit of PSU companies for Gujarat Socio Economic Development Society, a body formed to utilise the PSU funds towards social development.This dual standard might be Good for Private sector but definitely heart Central PSU, State PSU and Govt. Companies & their families attached with PSU companies which is considired back-bone for National development after independence. Hope Narendra Modi will not only clear his stand on sick PSUs like Air India, ITI, HMT but take PSUs as National assets not Money making machines. In the blind race of "Vikas Model" through Privatization, hope Modi will consider PSUs as integral part of economy. Narendra Modi's theory of "Governance not Government" is not only Anti-PSU but also Anti-Government Employees, The best solution is bring reform in Govt./PSU instead of cutting it out.

Telangana spurs Maru Pradesh demand in Rajasthan

Demand for "Maru Pradesh" from Rajasthan, a separate states have sprang up in western Rajasthan after telangana from Andhra Pradesh (AP) announced. In Rajasthan, the issue of Maru Pradesh has been raked up again with Baytoo MLA Sonaram Chaudhary demanding creation of Maru Pradesh western Rajasthan as Maru Pradesh.  Col Sonaram, who had come to Jaisalmer on Thursday said that earlier too the demand for Maru Pradesh was raised many times. A few years ago, talks were held with Congress president Sonia Gandhi over the same but she said that only after resolving demands for many states like Telangana, Vidarbha etc, this issue would be discussed.  "This is necessary for the growth and development. We have been raising our demand for long and now after the decision to form Telangana state after separation from Andhra Pradesh, our demands should also be considered," Jaibeer Godara of the Morcha, claimed to be formed over a decade ago, said. The organisation will demonstrate in front of the Congress office in New Delhi on August 2, he added. They demands districts of Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jhunjhunu, Osiyan (Tehsil of Jodhpur), Nagaur and Sikar should be given separate statehood status - Manu Pradesh.

Why they demands such thing even statistics-wise certain figures don't synchronize, it notes that the industrial output and employment in Maru Pradesh is less than 15 percent of the total industrial output in Rajasthan. It also mentions that the industrial output of Rajasthan during 2005 was 13 billion rupees in which the share of Maru Pradesh was only two million. Let people to decide what they want but we are totally shocked with the idea of Maru Pradesh from Rajasthan.

Bharat Nirman Rs.100 Crore advertising funded by taxpayer's money

UPA's launches "Bharat Nirman" Ad Campaign on all major Private TV channel including doordarshan and Radios in Rs. 100 Crore and buzz over it being funded by taxpayer's money.  Government says that Government do not have money so reduction in subsidy, do not have funds so allow FDI in retail but UPA has cleared nearly Rs 100 crore to be used by the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) for releasing advertisements on radio, television, and print. Now CNN IBN has reported that government has sanctioned Rs 100 crore to advertisements on television, radio and in print showcasing the government's achievements. However, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari claims this is no election campaign and merely highlights the achievements of the UPA government over the last nine years. And he definitely doesn’t see any similarities with the National Democratic Alliance’s ‘India Shining’ campaign in 2004. “India Shining was hype, hoopla and spin. Our campaign is different. Bharat Nirman is not a poll campaign, it tells the India story of the past nine years,” Tewari told CNN-IBN today.  The good news is that the campaign will end by February 2014 if the government lasts till then. Earlier if it doesn’t.

Jeevika (Jeeta Vimukti Karnataka), an NGO, which has taken up the cause of bonded labourers in the State, has viewed as shocking, ridiculous and misleading the claims of Bharat Nirman on the exploitative bonded labour system through its advertisement in the print media under the title “Thanks to MGNREGA, no bonded labour anymore.” It seems the authorities of Bharat Nirman, a programme for rural infrastructure development being implemented by the Union government, are not aware of the facts or of how farm labourers have been converted into bonded labourers in different States, said Kiran Kamal Prasad, State coordinator of Jeevika in Recent story on Leading New Paper THE HINDU. A lot of money went into producing the commercials allegedly Rs16 crore - which have been directed by filmmaker Pradip Sarkar. 
Now comes the Million $ question, "Bharat Nirman" TV commercial tag line says " सबका हित, सबका हक़"..Did you really see any benefit in spending your hard earn money in TV, Radio Advertisement instead of some work for people's welfare or they could have developed Five Villages into Model villages in Rs. 100 Crore fund.

Vasundhra raje woo Jat voters as "Jat Bahu", Hari singh join BJP

Former Congress MP and Jat leader Hari Singh join BJP in presense of former Rajasthan CM Vausndhra Raje at Banipark, Jaipur during Kissan hostel Heerak Jayanti celebration programe in the presence of influential Jat leaders including former external affairs minister Kunwar Natwar singh, BJP national vice president Satpal malik, Akhil Bhartiya Jat Mahasabha President Ajay singh and Abhay Choutala while Congress leader Sis ram ola was not present. Former Congress MP Dr Hari Singh today said he would support BJP State President Vasundhara Raje in the next assembly elections in Rajasthan. Addressing a Jat congregation here today that the interest of the people/community would be safe under the BJP leader's regime and hence he wanted to see her as Chief Minister after the polls that are likely to be held by the end of the year.

Vasundhara Raje played Jat card and invites jat leader Harisingh to join BJP. Vasundhara said she is "Jat Bahu" many times during while addressing people.  Other leaders who join BJP are former MLA Dilsukh ray choudhary, Tejpal yadav, Vimal Sunda, Jhabarmal, BSP leader Satvir singh krishniya, Ramdev Dhaka, Dungarpur pradhan Danaram. Dr. Hari Singh was sacked from the Congress following his repeated outbursts against chief minister Gehlot, Union Minister CP Joshi and Congress state president Chandrabhan. The former Congressman had held Gehlot responsible for his defeat in the 2008 assembly election and called the chief minister anti-Jat and anti-people. Jat community plays decisive role in Rajasthan politics with 17-20% vote-bank in Rajasthan. “It’s a turning point in Rajasthan politics. Hari Singh’s entry means BJP’s association with 30,000 Jats active in various districts of the state. This is just the start of polarization of Jat votes. More prominent Jat leaders may join BJP in coming months,” said Digambar Singh, BJP legislator who is seen as a key person behind Hari Singh’s entry in party.

FDI in Retail - Lets play with Farmers !

Farmers is synonymous of Mercy in India, even after 65 years of Independence, all credit goes to our beloved Politicians and policy makers. On 15th September UPA Govt. allowed FDI in multi brand retail to benefit farmers or MNCs with Government's decision to allow foreign direct Investment (FDI) in multi brand retail in India. Consortium of Indian Farmers Associations (CIFA) Secretary General P Chengal Reddy welcomed the move saying that it would help in raising the income of the farmers while Many expert feel that new policy will only help the multi-national companies and more than 3 Crore small shop owners will be impacted. Buy my point is that Why Farmers have to Pay Price always, why Not Shop-Keepers this time.

Lets have a look at some statistics and data on Farmers condition in India. The country has seen over a quarter of a million farmers’ suicides between 1995 and 2010. The National Crime Records Bureau’s latest report on ‘Accidental Deaths & Suicides in India’ places the number for 2010 at 15,964. That brings the cumulative 16-year total from 1995 - when the NCRB started recording farm suicide data - to 2,56,913, the worst-ever recorded wave of suicides of this kind in human history. So don't we have any responsibility towards more than 70 Billion people(65% of population) working in agriculture industry. In our current Product-Price Graph, Farmers are always looser as price is decided by Shop-Keepers, Distributors, Stockist, Agent/Dalals/Adatiyas while Farmers is just a resources of Money for these 3% people. So whenever any Policy try to break this Hierarchy, it is like challenging the more than 100 years old Ego and People start shouting No more FDI, No Foreign Companies even though they are shouting on Tata Docomo (Docomo Japan), Vodafone(74% UK), Airtel (34% SingTel), Uninor, MTS etc.. but still they don't want FDI in Retail because it minimize their profits. So when its all about Profit and Money why Not Farmers gets a chance to grow and make Money. FDI may be one of life changer to Farmers just like IT industry in late 90s, changed life of Indian Middle class with millions of High payee jobs in BPO and IT. So lets give a fair chance to BHARAT-I this time in two way direct channel without any profit sucking Agents. So its time to Stop playing with Farmers and people involved in Agriculture as Money Tree, Let them grow with World and Indian GDP.

Mobile towers on schools closed in Rajasthan, Thanks to HC

Life of Millions of innocent children saved today after Rajasthan High Court(HC) decision to close Mobile towers on School building today. Rajasthan High Court order to the state government to remove mobile phone towers, suspected to be potential health hazards due to radiation from them, from near the schools, hospitals and densely populated localities.  "The shutting down of 199 towers would affect 35 lakh customers across the state. Among the towers which have been shut almost 100 are in state capital itself. In the state there are 40 cities which have single towers and will face complete coverage blackout" Sudipto Chowdhury, representative of cellular operator association of India (COAI). "This is expected to create large gaps in network coverage in the entire state and quality of the services leading to inconveniences of consumers" he added. Rajasthan education department on 4th July 2012 asked Mobile operators to shutdown towers from school buildings but mobile operators approches High court(HC) and supreme court but fail to get any relief.On Monday finally Cellular Operators Association of India(COAI) annouce to shutdown 199 Mobile towers in 40 cities of Rajasthan which may affect some Mobile subscribers but definately save life of more than 50000 innocent children who was paying on their health without anyhow related to Mobile. Hope school Administration/teachers will also take lession and say NO to Mobile in school premises and go for Landline/Wireline services in school.  “For the time being remove those towers from private and government schools. The order which benefits (the school children)... we will not interfere with it,” said a bench of justices H L Dattu and C K Prasad.
In Jaipur one family lost two of its family members because of cancer caused by Radiation towers while in areas like Dev Nagar, Mahaveer Nagar, Tonk Road, etc, residents are suffering from various other diseases like head ache, breath problem and uncontrolled blood pressure as per a special coverage by leading Hindi Daily news paper Rajasthan Patrika. Recent study says that cell tower radiation can cause memory loss , birth defects , Alzheimer’s  and many other harmful diseases which if sticks to a human body can result into damage to tissues, and can take years, even decades to show up. Mobile operators will always assure that Mobile is SAFE, but you know "KHUD KE PAIR PAR, KULHADI KON MARE" :).  We also urge people to use Wired Phones(like BSNL Landline) for Long duration calls, prefer Wired Landlines Phone for Old people, Children and woman during pregnancy as per recent article from India Today to avoid Radiation hazards.

Glass of water while in Rajasthan Cold water is provided everywhere Free of cost which really make me feel proud being a Rajasthani.

Water Crisis in Rajasthan, Leaders need Political will

War for water is common in Rajasthan it becomes deepen as you travel from East to western Rajasthan or time travel from Winter to summer. From last 20 years Rajasthan is facing Continuous drought in western part while most of part gets frequent drought like situation which makes it more difficult situation in western rajasthan that comes under Thar desert of India. Water supply in summer is getting worst when some towns get drinking water supply once in 48 hours, on alternate day and  even most of Villages do not have water supply from Govt. of Rajasthan even after more than 65 years of Independence. The state Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) does care about rising water crisis across the state while the opposition BJP accuses the government of constantly postponing decisions to take the crisis head on. The situation in Jaipur is no better, despite the launch of Bisalpur-Jaipur water project as several areas, including the Walled City, water-related protests are common.
One report on water crises show that India, with 16 per cent of the humanity but less than 3 per cent of global fresh water resources. Rajasthan is very much at a disadvantage even in the Indian context. The population growth rate of the state is among the highest in the country. Demand for water from hitherto insubstantial uses, such as industry, tourism and recreation, as well as sanitation and environmental purposes, has been growing apace. The supply, however, has remained unchanged or drop. Nearly a third of the state is arid and another 30 per cent semi-arid, which implies that nearly two-thirds of the state suffers from recurrent water scarcity. In rajasthan from last 65 year Water Problem is only a political issue, no one care about the situation and how much worst it can be, if proper major are not taken to resolve the water problem. Mansoon rain is also low in rajasthan due to parallel alignment of arawali hills with mansoon. Govt. have to strengthen the relation with the neighbour state such as gujrat, MP, UP and punjab so that we can use the river resources and resolve the water problem. Hope our beloved Politicians and Bureaucrats will work on long term solutions for water problem instead of raising Fund on name of Water supply water tankers and work on Water Problem instead of using it as Vote bank slogan of "आपके गांव में पानी आएगा, अगर आप मुझे वोट देते हैं".
