For the upcoming Lok sabha election Muslim organizations in rajasthan are set to play an active role. Seventeen such organizations, under the banner of Muslim Forum, have decided to mobilize voters against BJP candidates. "A mass awareness programme would be launched for the Muslim community soon. It would ask the people to participate in the electoral process and cast their vote in favour of the right candidate," Hafiz Manzoor, secretary, Jamiat-Ulema-Hind, Rajasthan. For this election they will opt hand of congress or BSP. The organisations also asked Congress to give them appropriate representation in ticket distribution. The community has played a vital role in the victory of 35 candidates for Congress. If the ruling party would give at least three seats to Muslim candidates, then the same support could be repeated," said Salim Engineer, member, Rajasthan Muslim Forum.
This news may be helpful for Congress and BSP but BJP know very well that Muslim are not going to vote in favour of BJP after loosing vidhan sabha election in Rajasthan. Normally in rajastan muslim voter do not vote for rajasthan very few people vote and muslim population is around 5-6% in rajasthan.
