Varun Gandhi and recent Controversy at Pilibhit

About Varun Gandhi:
Varun Gandhi is indian Politician from Bhartiya Janta Party(BJP). He was born on 13 March 1980 and belongs to the Nehru-Gandhi family, the top family of India. Varun Gandhi was born to Sanjay Gandhi, who was even then considered to be the Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi's political successor. Varun Gandhi was 3 months old when his father was killed in a plane crash.
In March 1982, when Varun was 2 years old, his mother Mrs. Maneka Gandhi accused her mother-in-law of physically and mentally abusing her before "throwing her out" of the house where they lived after Sanjay's death. It is not known whether the accusations of torture were true but it is widely accepted that Indira expelled Maneka as she was politically ambitious. Varun's mother, Menaka Gandhi is known for her love of animals and used her famous name to direct attention in the country towards animal welfare.
Education and Career:
He attended the Rishi Valley School in Andhra Pradesh, India. Varun studied law and economics at the London School of Economics, and then completed his Masters from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. Varun was exposed to politics from an early age as his mother, Maneka, was politically active since his birth.
In August 1999, at the young age of 19, Varun started addressing public meetings during this election campaign. He is currently a member of the BJP National executive and one of the main political campaigners of the party. He is seen by party seniors and political analysts to be the youth face of the party and to be the front runner for the third generation leadership of the party in the future.
He wrote a book of poems titled "The Otherness of Self". Varun was below 25 years of age during the 2004 General Elections, and hence could not contest. He was seen by many to have risen in the BJP ranks too quickly.
In January 2008, the media has reported that his mother Maneka will vacate her six-time constituency of Pilibhit for Varun during the 2009 elections, while she will contest from neighboring Anwla .
Recent Controversy:
A video emerged allegedly showing Varun Gandhi making communal remarks. He allegedly said
"If somebody lifts a hand against Hindus, or thinks they are weak, there is nobody behind them, then I swear on the Bhagavad Gita that I will cut off that hand".
BJP president Rajnath Singh has said that the recording is doctored and the BJP will not accept the comission's advice. Varun gandi is now a new companion brand for election 2009. Today's arrest show how famous he is because of some communal remark, Politicians whether BJP or Congress are making communal remark which will be too dangerous for nation integrity. This is time when people have to think and should not vote for communal politics. Now days both parties do not have too much issues for election so congress and RJD is showing sympathy to one community and BJP showing to another so that they can get their vote.
