Western rajasthan sizzled, Temperature on 49 degree Cesius

Rajasthan is now days on fire not because of any celebration or success but because of killing heat in rajasthan now days. The Pink City sizzled at 44.1°Celsius, but out in the border areas it was a scorching 49°. And you can’t expect respite soon, says the Met office. Worse, maximum temperatures could actually rise in the next couple of days. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in Jaipur was 6 degrees above normal and the minimum at 27.1° was 4 above normal. Barmer was a melting pot at 46° Celsius, followed by Jaisalmer at 45.8° Celsius and Churu at 45.4° Celsius.
In the border areas, BSF is taking special measures to tide over the intense heat wave. At a time when there are intelligence alerts on infiltration, BSF will be reduced to only vehicle patrolling. Border outposts have been fitted with cool rooms and there are AC ambulances on standby. Met regional director S S Singh said the sudden rise in temperature is due to the onset of western disturbance from the side of Pakistan.
