Shri L K Advani is currently the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, and the Prime Ministerial Candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the 2009 General Elections. Through the years Advaniji had served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party for the longest period since its inception in 1980.
Good decision by Advani... Modi or arun jetley should take place
ReplyDeleteThis election result has shown that people of India are tired of regional and caste issues. Now, there is a return of serious centrist politics. The only persons equipped for such leadership in the BJP are Murli Manohar Joshi and Arun Shourie. Since Advani camp is not likely to accept Dr Joshi, so Arun Shourie seems to be the only candidate in the race. But the lumpens and moneybags inducted into the party and supported by the present leadership have been thoroughly rejected by the electorate as well as the extended Sangha parivaar.
ReplyDeleteAdvani, Jaitley and Venkaiah made it point to give tickets only to those who would not oppose them at any cost. They also took care to deny tickets even to winning candidates from other camps in the party. The trend continues from the Rajasthan Assembly election.
ReplyDeleteThe Congress did not defeat the BJP. Small minded leaders inside the BJP defeated the party.
This is time when BJP have to think about next election and have some point.... People are now thinking about development.
