Mansoon wait is finally over. The southwest monsoon entered Rajasthan, triggering scattered rain in the eastern and southern parts of the state. Light to moderate rain were received in parts of Ajmer, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Kota and Rajsamand districts. Generally, the monsoon hits the state before June 25. It has been delayed by about a week. A depression that developed over east-central region and adjoining north Arabian Sea led to heavy rainfall over Saurashtra and Kutch and moderate rainfall over Gujarat region, south Rajasthan, and parts of Maharashtra. While Sangwara in Dungarpur district recorded 57 mm of rain, Arnod in Chittorgarh recorded 63 mm. Nandbai and Khumber in Bharatpur reported 42 mm and 41 mm of rain, respectively. Rajasthan is expected to get more rain in this week as mansson enter rajasthan.
