Bisalpur water pipeline break in Jaipur

Bisalpur pipeline project for Jaipur water supply is now looking somewhat tough for jaipur. Last evening project to bring water supply in "Chardiwari" Area collapse when pipeline blast at JLN Road near HCM Ripa. This sudden accident make a chaos in JLN Marg and everyone start running as there was around 70 Lakh Gallon water wasted in road. Traffic and other services are also affected, later Govt. officers close the supply and stop the water and now looking for alternate source with some modification in project.
Chaos prevailed near OTS Circle on JLN Marg on Saturday evening as the Bisalpur pipeline leaked with lakhs of litres of water gushing out of the damaged pipe. According to eyewitnesses, two people got tripped in the sudden flow of water but rescued by policemen and officials. According to sources, over 70 lakh litres of water got wasted within half an hour of the incident after which PHED officials managed to close down the supply. Though police diverted the traffic, a number of vehicles and people were left stranded. Only after the water supply was stopped the situation returned to normal. Initial reports say that the water poured out of a damaged joint in the pipeline.
