Rajasthan chief secretary T Srinivasan took charge

Newly-appointed chief secretary T Srinivasan took charge on Saturday. He replaced Kushal Singh, who retired on Friday. Born in Srirangam in Tamil Nadu in 1950, Srinivasan is a 1975 batch IAS officer and had his first posting as a sub-divisional officer (SDO) in Bharatpur in 1977. A post-graduate in biology, Srinivasan was special secretary (PHED) to the state government in 1988 before he went to United Kingdom to pursue an MBA degree at Leads University there. He resumed his duties as special secretary (general administration department) in 1989. In his 34-year-long career as a bureaucrat, Srinivasan has proved his administrative skills serving in various departments in the state. Srinivasan was the additional chief secretary before chief minister Ashok Gehlot entrusted him with the new assignment. Handing over the charge to Srinivasan, outgoing chief secretary Singh said that every minute of her tenure has been interesting. She offered her best wishes to the new chief secretary.
