Rajasthan BJP President Election postponed till February 2010

Rajasthan BJP President Election postponed till February 2010 to avoid possible clash in party during upcoming panchayat samiti election in January February 2010. The voting of BJP President was supposed to be held tomorrow but it is now delayed so that BJP can concentrate on upcoming election instead on internal clash in BJP between Vasundhara raje and Chaturvedi Camp.
Earlier New Bharatiya Janata Party president Nitin Gadkari has summoned leaders of Rajasthan unit's both factions to Delhi tomorrow to resolve political crisis emerging after protests by Vasundhara Raje loyalists over the state organisational polls, which she alleged "unfair and undemocratic." BJP activists led by former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her loyalists protested against the "manner of election of the party state delegates" and non-release of the list of delegates who were supposed to elect new party state president in the organisational polls. So finally BJP high command decided to delay the election of BJP President in Rajasthan so that decision will not impact the integrity of state BJP which may cause negative effect in upcoming election.
