I Wil continue to smile - SPS Rathore

Former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore on Wednesday threw a taunt at the media by saying he will continue to smile if he is further harmed by the media as he had learnt the same from Jawaharlal Nehru. Emerging from the additional district and sessions court where hearing on his bail was extended till February 8, SPS Rathore was surrounded by a battery of media persons. He refused to comment on the case but said he could reveal the secret of his much reviled smile. “I have learnt to smile from my Lucknow University days when I used to run with the boys to see Nehru. He taught us to smile before adversaries,” he said.
Rathore further added,” The more you harm me, the more I will smile. I am a born fighter.” It is to be noted that the smile on his lips after he was convited for molesting 13 year old Ruchika Girhotra in 1990 had led to an uproar. It started out a public campaign of sorts to rob Rathore of the smile, with the father of the victim urging the same.
