Aamir's father passed away

Aamir Khan's father director producer-writer Tahir Hussain passed away this morning due to a cardiac arrest at Aamir's Bandra residence, in the suburban area of Mumbai. Tahir Hussain has produced some of the finest Hindi films like Caravan, Anamika and Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke. He has directed only one film called Tum Mere Ho, starring son Aamir and Juhi Chawla. Not many know that he had acted in a couple of films like Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai, and Pyar Ka Mausam.

Tahir Hussain started his film career in 1957 as an assistant director to his brother Nasir in films like Tumsa Nahin Dekha and Dil Deke Dekho. Tahir Hussain is survived by his wife Zeenat, sons Aamir and Faisal and daughters Farhat and Nikhat. Aamir is currently in Los Angeles while Aamir's nephew Imran Khan is in New Zealand.
