In a development that reflects the dizzy heights Indian Premier League has reached in just 2 years since its inception, two-wheeler giant Hero Honda has bought the Mohali based franchise- The King's XI Punjab, for a whopping USD 260 million. King's XI Punjab was previously owned by bollywood actress Preity Zinta, Ness Wadia, Mohit Burman and Karan Paul.
The deal is believed to have happened at 9 pm on Tuesday night. This is the first instance of an IPL side being sold out entirely. Earlier, Rajasthan Royals had put only 12 per cent stake on sale which was brought by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.
