Rajasthan govt passed bill to facilitate Film shootings

Rajasthan govt recently passed a bill to attract more directors and tourist to Rajasthan's heritage sites for shooting movie, documentary and provide aids to media personnel. The recent bill 'Rajasthan Tourism Trade (Facilitation and Regulation) Bill 2010' is passed to ensured single-window clearance for quick disposal of such applications and save time of applications which will attract more people in rajasthan. The bill, passed by the assembly in the recently concluded budget session, makes the commissioner of departments as the nodal agency for all departments of the state. Earlier, persons intending to shoot films in the state were required to contact various departments making it a difficult task. The bill also entitles the commissioner, in consultation with the state government, to finalise application fees, location charges per day, charges for police convoy, processing charges, security deposits for the shoot. This new bill also includes safety of people and sites so that no one get hurt and no one can damage the public property. Govt is also planning a separate for to protect such interest. Hope this new step in the form of bill will help tourism in rajasthan.
