Rajasthan Royals register an easy win against Kings XI Punjab

Rajasthan Royals register an easy win against Kings XI Punjab when Michael Lumb smashed a superb half-century as the Rajasthan Royals handed the Kings XI Punjab a humiliating nine-wicket defeat in the Indian Premier League in Jaipur. Mahela Jayawardene again emerged top-scorer for the Kings XI, but his knock of 44 lacked the intensity which had characterised his amazing century in the previous game as the visitors finished with a below-par 153 for six.
Lumb then clobbered 83 off only 43 deliveries and put on 109 for the opening wicket with Naman Ojha (44 not out) as the Royals eased to victory with five full overs to spare in their first game in their original home city. The defeat - the eighth in 10 games - ended the Kings XI's chances of progress to the semi-finals, while it kept the Royals firmly in contention for a last-four berth.

  1. I think the title and first line should say Kings XI Punjab instead of Deccan Chargers.
