Rajasthan University Admission 2010-11 begins

Admission forms distribution started today onwards at rajasthan university for various courses in Rajasthan. To avoid the rush during the sell of admission form for academic session 2010-2011, Rajasthan University admission committee has made all the arrangements with setting up of special counters at 10 places including all six constituent colleges.The University officials though claimed to have made all the required arrangements for the sale of forms.I havent yet received the forms,but I think I would get them by Tuesday morning, said principal of a constituent college.The forms will be available between 11 am and 2 pm at the college window, said DR Jat,principal,Commerce College.The RU admission committee said it would put up counters to provide counselling to students on various courses,and fee structure.RU has made special arrangements for outstation candidates seeking admission.It has uploaded all the necessary information regarding the University and its constituent colleges on the website www.uniraj.ernet.in.Students also have the option to fill up their admission forms online.This year,colleges are expecting a surge in the cut-off marks due to better class XII results.With lucrative job opportunities available in the finance and marketing sector,the cut-off for commerce courses are set to go further north.Only with a minimum of 70% can a student think of taking an admission in a commerce course in any of the city colleges, said Jat.Meanwhile,the students wings have also decided to hold camps at the colleges to address students queries.Private colleges and universities which generally cater to English-medium school students have already started the admission process.
