Jaipur, Ajmer to get Bisalpur water from 1st September

Capital Jaipur and Ajmer to get Normal water supply from Bisalpur dam from 1st September. An active monsoon in Rajasthan has increased water level in Bislapur Dam reservoir up to 307 metres, enabling resumption of normal water supply to Jaipur, Ajmer and several villages of these districts from September 1. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot here last evening, an official spokesman said. Accordingly, all localities and pockets of the Pink City would get water supply of 30 million litre per day for 90 minutes from the dam, while Ajmer would receive supply once in 48 hours, instead of the present frequency of 120 hours.
