The Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, is organising a two-day Mini-Rajasthan Festival in Kochi for the first time on September 8 and 9. The festival will be held at the Pappaly Hall and is a part of the Rajasthan Tourisms’ domestic tourism promotion campaign ‘Rajasthan Calling’ which will be held in 19 major cities, including Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Patna, Kolkatta, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Chandigarh.
“The main reason for organising the ‘Mini-Rajasthan Festival’ in Kochi is to give a feel of Rajasthan and facilitate a better understanding of the state, provide complete information along with showcasing the Rajasthan traditional culture and the exquisite range of Rajasthani handicraft products and delicacies. The highlight of the festival will be live dances and a food court. There will be free application of mehandi (henna) to the women who visit the fest,” Dalip Singh, assistant director, Department of Tourism, Rajasthan, said in a press statement.
