ICICI Bank launches Hindi website, Jaipur may get data center

The country's largest private lender ICICI Bank on Wednesday said it will set up a national data recovery centre in Jaipur. ICICI Bank MD and CEO Chanda Kochhar announced setting up of national data recovery centre in Jaipur for which the bank has acquired 11 acres of land in Mahindra SEZ. The centre would become operational by 2011. The bank would set up a Financial Literacy and Credit Counselling Centre in Jaipur, she told reporters here.
ICICI has become the second largest bank of the country, having 2,500 branches, including 372 in Rajasthan itself, after the Bank of Rajasthan merger with itself, she said. On the issue of merger, she said that all the 4,500 employees of the erstwhile BoR have received proper fitment and grades according to the rules and regulations of the bank. "All the employees are now the family members of ICICI bank and there would be no retrenchment or Voluntary Retirement," she said. Kochhar said that technology integration at the branch level would complete by October 15 this year, after that all the customers of erstwhile BoR can operate their accounts from the ICICI branches. She launched the Hindi version of bank's website here. "We have launched the Hindi version of the personal banking pages on our website for convenient banking," the bank said in a statement.
