Jodhpur visit for Prince Charles with close encounter with rajashtan life

Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwell Camilla Parker Bowles today had another close look at the Rajasthan's life, culture and ongoing development projects during the one-day visit to the Suncity of Jodhpur. The royals' special plane landed at the Air Force Airbase here at 1150 hrs. They drove to the Army Cantonment where Desert Corps General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lt General Narendra Singh received the royal couple in a ceremonial manner, Police sources said. The Prince of Wales held discussion with GoC-in-Chief Singh over bilateral military ties and other issues and interacted with soldiers during his hour-long stay in the Cantonment headquarters.
Later, they reached the Ummed Bhawan Palace to a grand welcome in traditional Rajasthani style. After having royal lunch with former ruler of Jodhpur Gajsingh, the Duchess of Cornwell went to BJS School to inspect works under Veerni project being implemented for girl and women empowerment with assistance from European countries. Later, the Prince visited Jal Bhagirathi project site to inspect the ongoing works for water conservation. They left for the UK around 2030 hrs by their special plane.
