One more accused in the 2007 Ajmer blast, which killed three people and injured 30, has been arrested in Rajasthan's capital Jaipur, police said Wednesday. 'We arrested 32-year-old Harshad Bhai Solanki alias Munna alias Raju, a resident of Gujarat, on Nov 1 from Jaipur. Solanki is also a prime accused in Vadodara's Best Bakery (2002 Gujarat riots) case and has been absconding after the Best Bakery incident,' a Rajasthan anti-terrorist squad (ATS) official told IANS here Wednesday. Harshad's main work was to prepare and assemble the explosives and other necessary equipment. He was also assigned the task to carry the bombs to the pre-decided location, the official said.
The ATS earlier arrested three people in connection with the blast at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti's dargah in Ajmer. The ATS had earlier filed a charge sheet in a local court in Ajmer against five accused in the case. The charge sheet alleged that supporters of radical Hindu group Abhinav Bharat carried out the blast Oct 11, 2007. The ATS charged Devendra Gupta, Lokesh Sharma, Chander Shekhar Lave, Sandeep Dange and Ramji Kalsangre with murder, attempt to murder, conspiracy, harming or defiling place of worship and other crimes.
