Germany-based Dr Oetker Group who owns Delhi-based Fun Foods is now looking at increasing its manufacturing capacity and setting up a new plant in Bhiwadi in Rajasthan by end-2012. “The new plant will not only take care of the existing product portfolio, but will also manufacture Dr Oetkar’s food products which we will launch in a few months’ time. At present we have three plants — two in Uttarakhand and one in Rajasthan,” said Oliver Mirza, managing director of the newly christened Dr Oetkar India & Fun Foods. The company makes popular condiments including sandwich spreads, mayonnaise and sauces. “The land for the plant is already in place. It is six times bigger than the area of the three existing plants put together. I would not be able to divulge the exact size and capacity now. But this plant will take care of the foods division of Dr Oetkar Group,” said Mirza. He did not divulge the investment involved for the upcoming plant. Dr Oetker India & Fun Foods is expecting to close this financial year at Rs 70 crore. Last financial year, the company had recorded revenue of Rs 53.4 crore. Almost 50 per cent of the company’s business comes from the B2B segment.
