Rajasthan University VC deny permission to Mallika Sherawat show

Students in rajasthan university are looking sad not because of upcoming exams but because Vice chancellery of University of Rajasthan has denied permission to Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat's performance in a cultural programme on the campus fearing a law and order problem Mallika Sherawat was supposed to perform some item songs in Rajasthan university as star performer and chief guest to inaugurate Rajasthan University Students' union office for research scholars as per TOI Report. "In the application seeking permission, they misled us by not mentioning Mallika's performance and the number of invitees," said B L Sharma, VC. He said the students should have invited some eminent academic for the event rather than someone from Bollywood.
While rajasthan university Cultural fest organizing body says they had given all information like date, time, venue and occasion in the application. "However, it is not the business of the V-C to decide on kinds of cultural programme we are organising,". "It's unfortunate that new RU V-C is making a mountain out of mole hill. They are taking this city back to middle ages. On the one hand, they talk about Jaipur as an emerging world class city and on the other, refusing an actress to perform in the university,".
