Rajasthan Day 2011 celebration Programme Schedule

Pink city jaipur is all set for four- day festivity and cultural events on the Rajasthan Day, starting March 28, by the state department of tourism. It will last till March 31. A plethora of cultural events, performances and competitions will showcase the cultural legacy of the state on the occasion of Rajasthan Day Celebrations (RDC). This was announced by Usha Sharma, principal secretary and commissioner, tourism, at a press conference on Sunday.
Rajasthan Day 2011 celebration Programme Schedule:
DAY 1: 28th March, 2011 (Monday)
8 to 11 am: Painting Competition for 1st to 12th Std. on Art, Cultural & Heritage of Rajasthan. Venue: Jawahar Kala Kendra
10 am to12 pm &1.30 to 3.30 pm: Children Film Festival - Karamati Kot, Halo, Aasman se aatka, Mujse Dosti Karoge & many more films. Venue: Jawahar Kala Kendra
7 pm onwards: Theatre performance –A renowned play CHANKYA by Manoj Joshi Creations, Mumbai. Venue: Birla Auditorium
DAY 2: 29th March, 2011
8 am to 5 pm: Painting Competition for Special Children on Art, Culture & Heritage of Rajasthan.
Two days Painting Camp for Professional Students on various themes of Rajasthani Culture & Heritage. Venue: Jawahar Kala Kendra
10 am to 12 pm &1.30 to 3.30 pm: Children Film Festival - Karamati Kot, Halo, Aasman se aatka, Mujse Dosti Karoge & many more films. Venue: Jawahar Kala Kendra
11 am to 12 pm & 4 to 5 pm: Magic Show for children by Ms. Suhani Shah . Venue:Maharana Pratap Auditorium, Vidyashram school
4 .30pm onwards: Military Pageant Show -Display of weapons ,artillery and adventure shows like sky diving ,dog show & many more . Venue: Rambagh Polo Ground
7.00 pm onwards: Kathak performance by Jaipur Kathak Kendra

DAY 3: 30th March, 2011
8 to10 am: Sarang Helicopter Show –A show by Indian Air Force. Venue: Sports Complex Ground, Rajasthan University
8 am to 5pm: Painting Camp for Professional Students on various themes of Rajasthani Culture & Heritage (continuous). Venue: Jawahar Kala Kendra
5.30 pm onwards: Closing Ceremony –Performances by folk and classical artists of Rajasthan.
