PM offers chadar at dargah sharif

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today offered velvet chadar at Sufi Sant Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti's dargah on the occasion of 799th annual Urs today. Minister of State in PMO Narayan Sami, accompanied by several ruling Congress leaders brought the chadar, who came on behalf of the Prime Minister in a procession to the shrine, offered the chadar at the holy tomb. Mr Sami also read out the Prime Minister's message for pilgrims in which Dr Singh called upon them to adopt the path shown by the Khwaja Garib Nawaz and strengthen harmony and brotherhood. Governor Shivraj Singh will also offer chadar on the holy tomb on Thursday.
