Life in Gopalgarh on track after a week even Situation remains tense but under control in Gopalgarh town of Bharatpur as representatives of Gurjar and Meo communities met to resolve the differences. The area was subject to violence on Wednesday after groups of both the communities involved in armed clashes, the violence and police firing caused deaths of eight persons. BJP president Nitin Gadkari has formed a team of MPs, led by the party's MP from Bhagalpur in Bihar Shahnawaz Hussain, to visit the riot-affected area of Bharatpur to meet family members of victims and submit a report. The team will visit the Gopalgarh area of Bharatpur district where riots occurred on September 15 and meet victims, including families of those allegedly killed in police firing. Eight people were killed in the riots involving two communities.
Congress form a committee of Former Rajasthan Minority Commission Chairman Nizam Mohammad, ruling Congress Minority Cell state Vice President Shabbir Hussain Khan and All India Milli Political Forum State Convener Mohammad Ashafaque Kayamkhani have hailed the confidence building/relief measures taken by Gehlot Government after violence in Gopalgarh town of Bharatpur district. The three minority leaders issued a joint statement here today saying," Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has handled the incident with utmost sensitivity. Home Minister and top brasses in the administration were sent at ground zero to get feedback and build trust and confidence among all sections of society. The Chief Minister himself reviewed the situation on real time basis and took timely and adequate decisions". They also praised the Chief Minister's move of offering government job to next-of-kin of the deceased, referring investigation to the CBI and decision for constituting a inquiry commission.
