Rajasthan Govt hike 7% DA for its Employees

Rajasthan government has announced 7 percent hike in dearness allowance with retrospective effect from July 1 this year for its employees. The state government has announced the hike last evening, which would take the DA to 58 per cent of total of basic salary, an official spokesman said here last night. The arrears on account of increased DA for the months of July and August would be credited in the employee's GPF account and that would be paid in cash from September 1. About seven lakh employees and three lakh pensioners would be benefited by this decision which would put an additional burden of Rs 875 crore per annum on the public exchequer, the spokesman added.
