Dowry seekers would no more be in a position to get a government service through the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) which has henceforth made mandatory for applicants to furnish an affidavit, alongwith the application form, to make commitment for not taking/accepting dowry in the marraige. In a bid to curb the social evil of dowry the RPSC has enforced the condition of furnishing the affidavit alongwith the application to declare that he/she had neither accepted/taken dowry in marraige nor would do so, if, still unmarried.
