Azmat Hussain wins Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs

Azmat Hussain, a 10 year old child from Pink city Jaipur, Rajasthan win Zee TV’s “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs” on the grand finale of the singing reality show here Saturday night. At a grand ceremony, little Azmat received his moment of fame and the winner’s trophy from Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Hussain pipped 13-year-old Salman Ali from Mewar and Nitin Kumar, 14, from Mubarakpur, to win the title. Hussain has always been a favourite of the show’s judges and mentors – Kailash Kher, Adnan Sami and Javed Ali, apart from mahaguru Alka Yagnik. The King Khan danced and interacted with the audience during the show, made the victory extra special for the youngster as he picked him up on his shoulders and did a little jig. After the show SRK posted a message on Twitter, “back from surat. seen such humility & talent in last 3 days realized how much more one has to give without asking in return to b a real star.”

The over three-hour long show was attended by thousands in Surat, Gujarat, where the Navratri festivities are currently in full swing. Hosted by Jai Soni and Manish Paul, the show also saw performances by Bappi Lahiri, Terrence Lewis and former participants of Zee TV’s flagship dance show “Dance India Dance”.
