Rajasthan Government has nominated new chairperson to Urban Improvement Trusts (UITs) in nine towns including Kota, Ajmer, Udaipur, Bikaner and Alwar. The nominations were made this evening after due approval from Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, an Official spokesman said here. "The nominations are made for a period of three years or till further order-whichever may be earlier", the spokesman said. As per the notification issued this evening, senior ruling Congress functionary Roop Kumar Khurana has been made Chairman in UIT Udaipur while Ravindra Tyagi would head the urban body in Kota.
Likewise, Ummed Singh Tanwar would be Chairman in Jaisalmer UIT, Haji Maqsud Ahmad in Bikaner, Naren Sahni Bhagat-Ajmer, Pradeep Arya-Alwar, Harish Chaudhary-Mount Abu, Rampal Sharma-Bhilwara and Jyoti Kanda would be Chairman in UIT Ganganagar. Rajendra Solanki has been nominated Chairman to the Jodhpur Development Authority(JDA). This nomination is made for a period of three years, the spokesman added. The nominations are part of the ongoing process of nominations of political activists to different posts in various state government run boards, corporations, academia and other such bodies.
