Udaipur wins best leisure destination award

The Lake City of Udaipur has bagged the Conde Nast Traveller (CNT) award for best leisure destination in India. Rajasthan Tourism Minister Bina Kak received the award at a glittering function in a luxury hotel in New Delhi this evening from Union Minister for Tourism Subodh Kant Sahay. Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) Chairman Randeep Dhankar was also present. Addressing the function, Minister Ms Kak said, "I am indeed overwhelmed as I receive the prestigious Conde Nast Travellers Award in the category of the best leisure destination today." "Over the years Rajasthan has emerged not only as a famous tourist destination but is continually endeavoring to create new circuits, new tourism products and further upgrade the tourism infrastructure," she said.
CNT is one of the worlds’ most renowned travel magazine. It is the third magazine of the Condé Nast Group in India, the only edition of the magazine in Asia. The readers of the Conde Nast Traveller India vote for various categories of destinations, accommodations and transport and choose the best for award in the respective category.
