Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure(CCI) approved the investment proposal for the implementation of the four/two laning of national highways in Rajasthan under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) phase two in built, operation and transfer (Toll) mode of delivery. Speaking to reporters after the meeting here, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Jaipal Reddy said the total project cost for the implementation of the four/two laning of Gomati Chauraha, Udaipur section on national highway-8 in Rajasthan is Rs 1114.27 crore out of which Rs 199.77 crore will be towards land acquisition, rehabilitation, resettlement and pre-construction. The total length of the project in Rajasthan is 79.31 km.The project will cover Rajasmand and Udaipur districts in Rajasthan. The main object of the project is to expedite the improvement of infrastructure in the state. The construction period for the project is 30 months.
