Rajasthan Govt. to provide Rs. 500 unemployment allowance

Unemployed youths in Rajasthan will get unemployment allowance with effect from July 1. The state government has issued due notification/orders for implementation of the scheme announced by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in his budget speech in the state Assembly earlier this year, an official spokesman said here today. As per the scheme unemployed youths registered with the employment exchange for at least one year, will be eligible to get Rs 500 per month, the spokesman said, adding that especially abled youth would get Rs 600 per month. The allowance with some conditions will be payable for a maximum period of two years and/or till absorption in employment whichever is earlier, to a youth till he or she attains the age of 30, the spokesman elaborated
The decision was part of the budget announcement which will be executed from 1 July this year. The candidate should be a graduate and resident of the state. There is no minimum age criteria but maximum age limit for general candidates will be 30 and 35 for females and candidates of ST/SC and differently abled candidates. The candidates’ registration in employment exchange for at least one year is required to get the benefit and he/she should not be a beneficiary of any scholarship or any other allowance. The government will cover maximum one lakh candidates in every year and elderly candidates will get priority if number of the candidates goes above one lakh.
