CTET November 2012:
Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) will conduct the Central
Teacher
Eligibility Test (CTET) for appointment as a teacher for classes I to
VIII on 18th November 2012. Candidates can apply On-line from 1st to 31
August 2012.
Government has decided to take a common test for the posts of Teachers
(Primary or Elementary level) in all schools of Central Government like
Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) (Central Schools) , Navodaya Vidyalaya,
Tibetan Schools etc. and schools of Union Territories like Chandigarh
and Andaman & Nicobar Islands etc. This may be extended or adopted
by private schools for teacher recruitment. The responsibility of this
examination is given the Central Board of Secondar Education (CBSE).
CTET EXAM NOVEMBER 2012
Eligibility:
The candidates having the following minimum educational qualification
are eligible for appearing in CTET. Minimum Educational Qualifications
for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage): Senior Secondary
(or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in
final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name
known). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks
and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary
Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE
(Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior
Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or
appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education
(B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50%
marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in
Education (Special Education)*. OR Graduation and passed or appearing in
final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever
name known).
Educational Qualification
for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage): Graduation
and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary
Education (by whatever name known). OR Graduation with at least 50%
marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year
Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition
Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this
regard. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks
and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary
Education B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at
least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year
B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation with at least 50% marks
and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
Application Fee
: Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) be remitted through
Demand Draft in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary
Education drawn in any Nationalized Bank payable at Delhi. Write your
Registration Number, Name, Address, and Mobile/ Telephone Number on the
back of the Demand Draft.
