Gulab Chand Kataria, Senior BJP leader will be the leader of opposition in the Rajasthan assembly while Vasundhara Raje appointed Rajasthan BJP President. Making a formal announcement in New Delhi, BJP chief Rajnath Singh said: “Vasundhara Raje would be the state president in Rajasthan and the next elections would be fought under her leadership.’’ Though no announcement has been made regarding the party’s chief minister candidate, it is expected that Raje will be the chosen one.
Kataria emphasised that there were no differences within the state unit. “We are all together. I accept the responsibility handed over by the party,’’ he said. Senior party leaders including Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Kaptan Singh Solanki and Saudan Singh were part of the meeting held at the residence of Rajnath. Earlier in the day, a meeting of state leaders was held at the residence of Arun Jaitely.
