Former Congress MP and Jat leader Hari Singh join BJP in presense of former Rajasthan CM Vausndhra Raje at Banipark, Jaipur during Kissan hostel Heerak Jayanti celebration programe in the presence of influential Jat leaders including former external affairs minister Kunwar Natwar singh, BJP national vice president Satpal malik, Akhil Bhartiya Jat Mahasabha President Ajay singh and Abhay Choutala while Congress leader Sis ram ola was not present. Former Congress MP Dr Hari Singh today said he would support BJP State President Vasundhara Raje in the next assembly elections in Rajasthan. Addressing a Jat congregation here today that the interest of the people/community would be safe under the BJP leader's regime and hence he wanted to see her as Chief Minister after the polls that are likely to be held by the end of the year.
Vasundhara Raje played Jat card and invites jat leader Harisingh to join BJP. Vasundhara said she is "Jat Bahu" many times during while addressing people. Other leaders who join BJP are former MLA Dilsukh ray choudhary, Tejpal yadav, Vimal Sunda, Jhabarmal, BSP leader Satvir singh krishniya, Ramdev Dhaka, Dungarpur pradhan Danaram. Dr. Hari Singh was sacked from the Congress following his repeated outbursts against chief minister Gehlot, Union Minister CP Joshi and Congress state president Chandrabhan. The former Congressman had held Gehlot responsible for his defeat in the 2008 assembly election and called the chief minister anti-Jat and anti-people. Jat community plays decisive role in Rajasthan politics with 17-20% vote-bank in Rajasthan. “It’s a turning point in Rajasthan politics. Hari Singh’s entry means BJP’s association with 30,000 Jats active in various districts of the state. This is just the start of polarization of Jat votes. More prominent Jat leaders may join BJP in coming months,” said Digambar Singh, BJP legislator who is seen as a key person behind Hari Singh’s entry in party.
