Rahul Gandhi to visit Bikaner, Jaipur on 15th, 16th May 2013

Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will visit Bikaner and Jaipur during his 2 days visit to Rajasthan. Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi will hold meetings of the state party leaders on 15th, 16th May this month to discuss the poll preparedness for the upcoming assembly elections. "Gandhi will arrive here on a two-day visit this month and hold meetings with the party leaders. Issues related with the party, membership campaign and others will be discussed in the meetings," Pradesh Congress Committee President Chandra Bhan said earlier. He said that Gandhi would speak to the PCC office bearers, district and block Congress presidents and office bearers, Mayors, Zila Pramukhs, candidates who contested the last Assembly election and others.
Rahul Gandhi will interact with large number of grass-root workers who have been instrumental at panchayat and municipal level in the state. “We believe over 8,000 party workers will get an opportunity to interact with Mr Gandhi during the two-day visit,” a senior party leader said. The party managers divided Mr Gandhi’s visit in two parts to enthuse party’s rank and file. Rahul Gandhi will be in Bikaner on May 15 at Park Paradise, Rani Bazaar, Bikaner, where the Congress vice-president will meet members of district village panchayat, panchayat councils, village council, members of municipalities, DCC presidents, office bearers and elected representatives from 15 districts of the desert region. Bikaner is considered as biggest city in north Rajasthan, where the party could not perform well in previous Assembly elections. Congress won 19 Assembly seats while Opposition BJP registered its victory in 12 Assembly segments in the region.
