Gurudas Kamat committed for Congress victory in Rajasthan Assembly polls

Mumbai MP Gurudas Kamat was appointed as a general secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Sunday with responsibility of Rajasthan, which goes to polls this year. He will also be the AICC in-charge in Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Kamat said he has assured both Congress president and the vice president, that he will do his utmost to justify the confidence shown in him by giving him responsibility of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Daman and Diu, besides Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
"We will ensure that the communal elements do not get foothold in Rajasthan," former Union minister and Member of Parliament Kamat told PTI over phone from Mumbai. "Let me take over the job tomorrow...I am going to attend meeting in AICC, Delhi, then I will be able to comment more," he said, adding "Congress party in Rajasthan is in election mode...My best efforts would be to take every one together to get thumping majority in the upcoming assembly polls in Rajasthan".
