Rajasthan Congress declares third list of 71 candidates

Rajasthan Congress declares the 3rd list of 71 candidates for the December 1 elections to the 200-member Rajasthan assembly.  With this, Congress now has announced candidates for 176 seats. The first list of 63 candidates was announced Nov 2 and second of 42 candidates November 6. The third list features the name of party's state president Chandrabhan from Mandawa constituency. The list also features names of Leela Maderna from Osian constituency. The party has also finalised tickets on the contentious seats in the state capital and also on Jhalrapatan from where the rival BJP state president and former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje seeking re-election. While Maderna's wife Leela is given ticket on his Osian seat, Malkhan's mother Amri Devi Bishnoi would contest the family bastion in Luni. Nagar's brother Hazari Lal, who is presently the Zila Pramukh of Jaipur, is chosen to contest the Dudu seat instead of his jailed brother. Former party MLA Meenakshi Chandrawat would take on Ms Raje in Jhalrapatan. The list also features names of ministers in the Ashok Gehlot government like Harjiram Burdak from Ladnu, Bina Kak from Sumerpur and Ramkishore Saini from Bandikui. National Commission for Women Chairperson Mamta Sharma has been given ticket from Bundi constituency.
