Manoj Bhatt appointed new DGP of Rajasthan

Senior IPS officer Manoj Bhatt was today appointed as Rajasthan’s Director General of Police (DGP). Manoj Bhatt, an IPS officer of 1981 batch replaced Omendra Bhardwaj, who superannuated on Saturday. The government also promoted two additional directors general of police to the rank of DGP. Bhatt, who was holding the post of director general, Anti Corruption Bureau, hails from Udaipur. He studied at St Xavier's School, Jaipur and later did B Sc from Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. He also had a short stint as a probationary officer in State Bank of India. He was superintendent of police in Sirohi, Alwar, Chittorgarh and Kota city. He was also inspector general of police, Bharatpur range, twice.
Dr. Bhatt, a 1981 batch pass out will be the 29th DGP of the state. With a PhD in Osteopathy, he will handle the current post for 2 years and 4 months; retirement in 2017. Dr. Manoj Bhatt is known to be a man of honesty and of indisputable image. State government also promoted two IPS officers Ajit Singh and Jaswant Sampatram from ADG to the post of Director General. Singh would now be DG (Jail) in Rajasthan while Sampatram will be in charge of Home guard and Civil Defense. 
We congratulate and welcome Dr. Manoj Bhatt as new Rajasthan Police chief. Hope Manoj Bhatt will bring down crime in state and bring innovation in Police department with hist past experience.
