Narendra Singh, instructor of bomb defusing squad dies in explosion

Ace bomb trainer Narendra Singh killed in explosion at warfare college, Raipur.  A bomb disposal instructor at Chhattisgarh government’s Counter Terrorism and Jungle Warfare College (CTJWC) in Kanker district was killed on Wednesday when a grenade exploded near him during a training session. Platoon commander Narendra Singh, a specialist instructor at CTJWC, sustained serious splinter injuries on his face in the explosion leading to his death, Kanker Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Meena. At around 8.30 am, a ‘grenade throwing’ training exercise was underway for trainees at the CTJWC, which is located around 150 km from here on Raipur-Jagdalpur road. A grenade exploded close to Singh, who was supervising the training, causing splinter injuries on his face, the SP said. The injured trainer was rushed to Kanker hospital where he was declared brought dead, he said.  Narendra Singh Choudhayr hailed from Nagaur district of Rajasthan.
