Lalit Kumar Modi, IPL Chairman and RCA President was Born November 29, 1963 at Delhi. He is also Vice President of BCCI, Vice President of Punjab Cricket Association, Executive Director of Godfrey Philips India and Director of Various Modi Group Companies.Education:
Born in 1963 in Delhi, India, Lalit Kumar Modi studied at the prestigious St.Joseph's College, Nainital. He attended Duke University in the United States, graduating in 1986 with a degree in marketing.
Tough Time:
Lalit Modi was charged and pleaded guilty to possession of 400 grams of cocaine, assault and kidnapping in 1985 while he was a student at Duke University, USA. He pleaded guilty on all charges and was sentenced to two years in prison. However, he did not serve any prison time and came back to India in 1986 after being released on probation. Year 2009 brings some more problems for him as there is FIR in rajasthan against him for fraud in RCA.
Awards:
He was awarded "The Business Standard Award" for making BCCI the Most Innovative Company in India for the year 2008.
In 2008 he was awarded "Brand Builder of the Year" by Asia Brand Conference.

He is really master mind behind the success story of IPL worldwide. May be this man have some bad things but he has done a lot for RCA and Indian cricket.
Its not so cool as may be he has done something for Indian Cricket but that something is for his own good. Why he is whole & sole of IPL when there are other members of IPL Board? How much money is flowing in the Systems?
ReplyDeleteup till now he did not publish the IPL Teams' stake holders name anywhere publicly and now when the owner of Kochchi Team is not of his choice, he published all the stake holders names of Kochchi Team in Twitter so that the deal can be canceled otherwise allegedly he was giving bribe to Kochchi stakeholders to just quit the game.
This Swindling and mugging were not related to BCCI if Mr. Modi's name would not be associated with it.Well whatever IPL is but it seems only aim is to rope the money for few Greedy people.
Further I say many a times matches seem to be FIXED ,whatever the reason may be like making interest building or money flow.
It seems more like a Stain than COOL.
