Jat supports candidates not parties - Parvesh Verma

BJP at New delhi is facing new challege after Late BJP Leader Shaheb singh verma's son is dropped from list in ticket allocation. 31-year-old Parvesh Verma, son of late Sahib Singh Verma, was disappointed. His supporters protest at the residence of L K Advani. A mahapanchayat will be held on Sunday. Two Jat MLAs from West Delhi Kulwant Rana and Manoj Shokeen were part of a delegation that reportedly met Advani. It’s being said you were excluded since the party needed to hold on to the loyal Punjabi votebank.
Jats have the highest share of MLAs (3) and also the maximum share of municipal councillors (11) in West Delhi. About 80% of the constituency includes areas from Outer Delhi, which my father represented. If giving Punjabis a ticket is the issue, they could have done it in New Delhi. Out of 10 MLAs there, seven are of Punjabi origin.
Saheb singh verma was the first BJP candidate from Outer Delhi in 1991. In 1993, he led the party to winning 17 out of 21 assembly seats and BJP came to power. After that we never returned to power. Any BJP candidate could win from Mundka assembly seat because of my father’s work. They had agreed to field me from West Delhi. "Jats and rural votes do not support a party but candidates" say Parvesh verma.
