The cold war between Parasram Maderna and Ashok Gehlot after Assembly election 2008 seems to be continue even after the induction of Maderna's son Mahipal into the cabinet. Gehlot did not find a mention in the address by any of the three Madernas at the thanksgiving rally at Osian on Thursday. This show that coldwar is still going between gehlot and Maderna, who was the main player for asssembly election win as he has Jat vote bank, the biggest vote bank of rajasthan.Parasram chose to thank party supremo Sonia Gandhi but did not utter a single word about Gehlot. He made a special mention that ministership to his son was granted by Sonia and none else. The discord between the two dates back to 1998 when Gehlot was made the chief minister while Parasram had pitched for it. This alienated Gehlot from the Jat community and sent Parasram into a self-imposed 10-year-long hibernation. The development is said to be a major factor behind Congress' defeat in the 2003 assembly elections.
If congress really need a win in LS Election, everyone know that this is not possible without the Maderna's and Jat Vote bank support as maximum are against gehlot now after Sonia's Promise that next Rajasthan CM will be Kishan, everone was thinking about Maderna but finally Gehlot becomes CM. The whole incident may work as a weak point for congress in LS Election 2009.
