Buta singh will fight Loksabha election from Jalore, Rajasthan

Senior Congress leader and former MP Buta singh will fight Loksabha election from Jalore, Rajasthan. He address journalist at jalore today that he will fight loksabha election from Jalore. he ask Congress for sreeganganagar seat but they did not accept his request so he will fight as independet candidate from Jalore. After migrating to Rajasthan from Punjab during the spurt in terrorist activity in his home State, Mr. Buta Singh in the past had won the Jalore seat, then reserved for the Scheduled Castes, three times on Congress ticket and once as an Independent. His interest in the constituency, bordering Gujarat, had waned after it was made a general seat and during the initial discussions with the Congress leadership on the ticket distribution he had staked his claim from Sriganganagar (SC) seat in Rajasthan.
Mr. Buta Singh’s sudden interest in Jalore a Lok Sabha seat comprising the districts of Jalore and Sirohi seemingly stems from the potential in the seat for a candidate other than the nominees of the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party. As in the case of the Congress, the BJP too has nominated a fairly unknown first-timer, Devji Patel, from the Choudhary community which accounts for over two lakh votes in the area. The workers of both the parties are up in arms against the official candidates.
