Rajasthan University exams will be rescheduled

The Rajasthan University has decided to reschedule its examinations to avoid them clashing with the dates of Lok Sabha elections. "The dates of some exams were clashing with the election dates. The revised dates will be announced soon," said NN Gupta, examinations controller, RU, on 4 april 2009.
The general elections will take place in the state on May 8. Therefore, exams scheduled for May 5, 6, 7, 8 and 16 will be rescheduled. RU authorities have already sent the data sheets at the respective examination centres. The entire exercise of rescheduling would cost a heavy burden on the university exchequer. However, university officials claimed that most of the important exams would be completed before May.
