Bihar CM Nitish Kumar demand special Status for Bihar

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday said that he would support whoever gave special status to his state. "I will support whoever gives special status to Bihar," he said. The CM added that discussions were on to gather the required numbers for government formations at the Centre. Minutes after Nitish's statement, Congress leader Digvijay Singh said that they were ready to grant special status to Bihar. To a question on whether he aspired to become the next Prime Minister of India, he said, "I'm neither capable of nor do I have any dreams of becoming PM."
Earlier on Wednesday, Nitish had made it clear that he was with National Democratic Alliance while claiming that the combine will form the government. "I was in NDA and will remain there. In this election, we will (NDA) become victorious and form the government," Kumar told reporters. The counting of votes will begin on Saturday, three days after the end of a nearly month-long polling to elect a new Lok Sabha.
