FIR against CM Ashok Gehlot for land transfer

City court at jaipur ordered an FIR to be registered against chief minister Ashok Gehlot and a few others in a case of land transfer just before the election. Additional chief judicial magistrate directed Gandhi Nagar police to register the FIR on the basis of a recent judgment of Rajasthan High Court. The court also quashed the order of the trial court passed in February this year whereby it had refused to order an investigation into the alleged land scam and had taken unto itself the work of investigation under Section 200 of the CrPC.
The case is for the allotment of land to Babu Laxman Singh Gehlot Magic Art and Cultural Charitable Trust, named after the father of Ashok Gehlot. The transfer took place in 2003 when Gehlot was the chief minister. Gehlot himself was the founding trustee. The trust was registered in 1995 and it moved an application for allotment of 20,000 sq mt of land at Bilwa under Prithviraj Nagar in 2003, through one Jadoogar Anand Avasti, a member of the trust, at a concessional rate. So this news will show the charm of Rajasthan chief ministers towards land scam as former CM also come into light with land scam.
