57% Voting on 4th Phase of Election
4th phase of polls end today with around 57 per cent voting for the Lok Sabha elections held across eight states on Thursday. Deputy Election Commissioner R Balkrishnan said the turn-out in this phase was higher as compared to the polling figures in the previous phases. West Bengal recorded the highest turn-out of 75 per cent, the lowest was in Jammu and Kashmir (24 per cent). In Bihar, the turnout was a dismal 37 per cent, followed by Punjab, 65 per cent and Haryana 63 per cent and rajasthan 50 percent.
